I own a Plymouth Neon Expresso. It has the Dohc 16 valve engine in it linked to the perf. 5 speed manual. Don't mind the r/t decals I never claim the car is a real r/t I just always wanted a r/t and couldent find one in good shape so this will have to do. it has 102,000 miles and I am the 2nd owner it was owned by an older couple before me. I purchased a mopar performance pcm , off of ebay for 175.00(used) including shipping. I also bought a warm air intake assembly and put a real k&n on it. I can remove my stock muffler and run straight pipe (no difference in power that I can tell) or put it back on for those sleeper nights....(takes me about 2 min to remove or install). I included pics of my car as well as 2 of my 3 timeslips (i have only made 3 passes in the car since i have owned it) My best was a 15.92 @ 86.23mph not bad for a mostly stock neon with computer(pcm),hot intake, and no muffler. More pics soon and a few of my shadow es 3.0 in which i did turbo but blew the bottem end out after 2 months....I have a used motor at my dads and Im fixing that before any more is done to my neon!
Ok I lied i installed the 52mm tb and cut my shifter down for those nice crisp shifts! Big difference in low end power with the throttle body. I'll post a pic in a couple days...
It is now august 2009, i have added alot to the car since i last was on. Ported intake manifold, cold air intake, pacesetter full length header, no cat, flowmaster 40 series, solid mounts, no powersteering or a/c, pillar gauges (airfuel, oil pressure). 15 inch shadow es alum. wheels with 205 tires
The car ran a 15.2 on street tires after these mods and 14.8 with slicks.
I posted some newer pics
