cordobainde's 1980 Chrysler Cordoba
i have a fairly stock 1980 chrysler cordoba. i only have a few pics up now, but i have many many pics to put up. i will once i have access to a scanner. anyway as i said i have a pretty much all origanal doba with a 225 slant 6. it has around 95,000 origanal miles and i am the 2nd owner. all i have replaced has been the master cylinder, carb, radiator and thermostat and alternator. i have also replaced the stock gas cap with a locking one, and the stock oil breather and oil cap with a chrome MR gasket replacements.

i have also put posi in it. other minor things have been a k&n filter, sylvaina silvertstar headlights (highly recommended for any vehicle) grant steering wheel and a jvc cd player and a 120 db dixie air horn! the tires are goodyear 205/75/15 up front and goodyear 235/70/15 in back.

by spring i plan on replacing the lean burn system with a mopar performance ignition system, performance valve job with clifford oversized valves and HD springs, mill the head 0.100, clifford 4bbl intake with either a holley or edelbrock carb, clifford 2 piece headers to run true duals with stright pipes (right now i am runnin 2.5 inch single with no mufflers or cats into a chrome 3 inch tip)

264 hydrolic cam from clifford, and bore the block out 0.80 over with oversized pistons and peformance lifters/rods/ect. and probably 3.55 or so gears, with a floor shifter and hurst pistol grip shifter and shift kit. from what i hear from clifford i should be looking at around 340 horse and 370 ft.lbs of torque with all that done. cordobainde's 1980 Chrysler Cordobaalso will be adding the clifford allumnium valve cover, and a holley air cleaner. after that i will be putting american racing torque thrust wheels on it, a big nice soundin stereo system and having it painted black and all the emblems re-chromed. as i update the car i will keep updates up on here, and add pics as i can. i would love to here comments or suggestions on my car or build. also i would like to track down and drop in a 265 hemi slant six, if anyone knows where i can get one. i was thinkin about puttin in a v8, but i think i am goin to just "mildly" build up the slant six, since it will be my daily driver, and save up for a 2008 dodge challenger srt-8. the day they hit the lot im buyin one, and rippin the cats off and runnin cherry bombs!!! if not just straight pipes. along with a k&n intake system and a chip

hey nice car, you can move your gas tank over one notch in the straps, and your fill pipe is still long enough, put some new sealant around the pipe, this will give you all most 4 inchs on both sides. i have it done on my car, both pipes come straight back.check out my car ,,,,thanks

First off, thanks for looking at my doba and commenting on it. I like your choice of steering wheel, and the red leather is something I wish I had. I like how you are actually thinking about keeping the slant-6, and plan on hopping it up. That is something you just don't see very often. About the hemi slant six, that would be kick ass, I wonder what it would sound like? I found a page about it, maybe you have already viewed it.(http://www.valiant.org/ausval.html) Good luck on your project.
