This page is photos of my car at the ICSA car show in Dayton, Ohio. The old girl scored a first place. My first show, and first award for 2006. They did not have a show in 2007.
I am setup with the local speed shop. They have done some of the work on my car. The guys there are awesome. "Q" from "Pimp My Ride" stopped in and talked to the guys. The co-owner of the shop installed a turbo on a 1999 STS Caddie. He built it from scratch, modified the fuel system, and installed a beta piggyback unit on the ecm. About 400hp at the front wheels. The Caddy owner also had a custom posi-unit built and installed. Its the only one like it in the world. He has slicks on the front.

Hood tach and shaker from driver seat. And that is the correct time on the clock. It works great.

Well, the car is done. The only thing I want to do is put taller tires on the front. I have some NOS 1965 Corvette Fuel injection emblems that I'm going to put on a flat black, extra shaker unit when I want something a little different. I have 3 or 4 shaker units, I know I have a white one, flat black one, and an orange one. I still need to take the shaker unit to the speed shop and have it checked for cfm. Don't want to choke my 1150cfm air flow. Also now have my oversized radiator and electric fans installed.
Best time for the car was 10.85 at 126 mph. I did the fuel injection tuning myself. I data logged my runs and e-mailed to David Page at FAST. I also data logged a cold start at the house on my way to a cruise-in. The first 8 mins. of the log was with the headers closed and the last 7 mins. was with them open. I am surprized at all the shifter gadgets and shift light gadgets made to make your car run fast. I guess I don't need them. I'd rather spend the money on the motor The only way I'll take it back to the strip is if FAST comes back with a better fuel program than mine. Who knows maybe a 10.50 with a professional tune. I'm happy with it now though. But just think, if I could knock .5 off my 60 foot times I could be in the low 10s. A 2 sec 60 foot time is not impressive.
The 11.14 run was with the headers closed. Drove the car to the track and back home. I was car C32. 60 foot times are bad due to the 1500 stall converter.Update, 3500 stall is being installed the second week of Janurary of 08.
I entered the car in the Dayton Concours d' Elegance show.
They put me in a special interest class because of the modifications.
Wolf in sheeps clothing.

Won the "Award of Excellence" in class.
I recieved a plaque at the awards presentation.
One more photo from show. 9-17-2006 Went to the 2007 show and won another AOE award. Also won a second place award at the Pontiac National in Norwalk. I was in a custom class.
Don't forget to rate my ride and if you have any suggestions on how to improve my car(still have some money I can spend)let me know. Thanks for looking and good luck on your projects. And I do not want to put on 18" or 20" wheels.
Here are pictures of my 66 GTO from back in the late 60's-early 70's. The 1 picture I had 18" wide tires on the rear. One of the pictures I had 13" Cragars on the front. Of coarse 1 picture was before I had it painted. Notice the 2" dumps in front of the rear wheel.
More pictures from way back when. Guys and gals take pictures of your cars. You'll never regret it. I had a white 64 GTO post car and have no pictures. It had the brand new Ram Air iv motor. I bought that motor new and took it straight to the speed shop, still in the crate. One of the pictures is my car with the front wheels off the ground. One of the pictures is of one of my friends 396-375 hp Nova. Both his and my cars had the full header-side pipe exhaust. His is hard to see in the picture cause his was black.

First display of 2007. Kids benefit show at a local car dealership
My cruisin' buddy's shoebox
I know what your thinking----Which one is quicker, mine or his. Wellll, his is quicker and mine is faster. He's running a 4:56 gear and runs an 1/8 mile and 300 shot of nos. He can't make a 1/4 mile pass. He runs low 6 in the 1/8 and I run 7 sec.
Beautiful car. Well put together.
Had to finish up with my motor
