This is the 440ci. rat motor that I had in the car in 1975. It is a balanced and blueprinted 1967 vintage 435hp motor. I have 12:1 pistons, big cam, roller rockers, Holly three barrel carb. and a Weiand Intake. You will notice the Chevy motor is painted Pontiac blue. That was done to hide the horsepower factor. I even painted the alumnium intake. I did alot of street racing 30 years ago and you didn't advertise your stuff under the hood. Now the motor is setting in the garage in the way, along with the 1965 396-375,1970 350-350 LT-1, and 2004 Infinity 350cc.
The car had a 5:38 gear then, Boy has things changed
Notice there was no crome valve covers either. I had a large air cleaner that covered the carb. That manifold is for a 1050 dominator carb. I ran a Dominator for a while but the 950 Holly 3 barrel worked out the best.
I have added more guages since this photo. When I started the rebuild the car had approx. 20,271 miles on it. Alot of those miles were 1/4 mile at a time.
The body is perfect. My body guy is an artist
