Shaker hood and unit is being painted soon. Also bought a Pontiac hood tach.
Picture taken while on rack at muffler shop.
Taken at local speed shop at dyno day. I spent all summer running around without a hood. We put the stock hood to go to a show and the car ran so hot we took it off that night. After visiting 2 radiator shops they told me that the radiator was not big enough. I bought a Be COOL radiator from Jeg's for a big block Nova. That's what is on the receipt, but after checking the paperwork that came with the radiator I found out they sent me a small block radiator. Now they won't take it back. $550.00 down the drain. So much for Jeg's customer service plus I've spent a ton of money there. It was totally their mistake. They said I caught it to late. Close up of motor in car.
Rear shock support. Shocks were moved inside of springs for tire clearance. You can't have to much.
shot of pumkin. This is the 4:56 unit that I spun the ring gear on. 750 horses are great but they take their toll.
Ash tray control panel. Switches are for header control, fuel pump control, Gear Vender over drive control, and clock. I put a switch on my clock so I can shut it off while the car is parked during the winter. Those old original clocks are rare. The one in the car now keeps excellent time. You have to be careful setting it because it has a self adjuster on it. When GM had those mechanical clocks built the setting of the clock would regulate it. so if the clock ran slow everytime you moved the hands forward the self regulator would speed the clock up alittle.
The car was finished in the spring of 2005. I was in 30 judged car shows in the Dayton area and I won awards in 26. Now my wife is wondering what I'm going to do with the awards.
