This is our 1988 Mustang LX Coupe. This car lived it's previous life as a 4 cylinder car, but was converted over to a .30 over fuel injected 302 (5.0) with a built C4 automatic transmission. The car was then converted to carb in the beginning of January 2006.

UPDATE: 5 speed conversion was completed in January 2007. I rebuilt a T5 out of our 92 coupe. Bought a new Ford Flywheel, Motorsport clutch, steeda firewall adjuster and cable. I got a bellhousing, block plate and clutch fork from a buddy of mine in exchange for repairing his AOD. I had a few different pedal sets from mustangs we've previously stripped for parts.

April 2007 I installed a QA1 Tubular KMember and A-Arms. I also installed a coilover kit and steel caster camber plates. I had to modify the brackets where the motor mounts attach so the engine wouldn't sit too high. I also had to use an after market steering shaft because the new member moved the drivetrain forward about an inch. This K-Member was not a bolt in deal. The track of the front wheels got slightly wider with the new a-arms too, so it took a little longer to get things aligned strait. The ride hight and ride is excellent though there's a little more road noise with the coil overs.

While the K-Member was out I also went ahead and did an oil pump and a new 1 piece rubber pan gasket. No more leaky cork crap.

I should have taken pictures while the wheels were off and the car was jacked up, but I didn't.
