This is my 91 940SE.
the car is a stock as they come with standard 'roulette' wheels and grey leather interior. Before I owned the car (which has covered 164,000 miles) it was owned by a bank and was used as a chauffer vehicle!

I was unhappy with the way that the standard (Autoleads) head unit adaptor fitted so I junked it in favour of mounting the Alpine 7803 CD tuner directley in the dash! I am currently making a surround that will blend into the stock dash

heres a pic of the surround that I have made out off ally (It will be painted satin black before fitment)

The RCA and power cables all go up the A pillars through the roof struts and back down the Cpillars into the trunk (TRICK!!!!)

The Mac audio MP4400 is switched to 3 channel mode and 2x100Watts go into the front doors and 1x190 into the Sub. the amp board is stepped out by a small amount to let the cabling run up behind it!!!!

The door speakers are 6 inch Altec Lansing carbon fibre units and are fitted to the door panels behind the cards (not easy but very neat looking)

At the moment the rear fill is being dealt with by the stock volvo speakers but should be soon replaced with more Altecs!!! and another Mac Audio amp!
You will notice that all the equipment is not up to date stuff, the reason for this is because I wanted it to have equipment that was current at the time the car would have been new!!!!
The Sub frequencies are dealt with by a 10inch JL sub which is currentley in a Jenson tube but im working on that and it should look neat when finished!!
Ill post more pics soon

This is not the greatest picture but you can just see that I have mounted the flashing LED for the security system in the rear view mirror so that from the outside you can see it flash from all angles

AAAARRgghhhh!!!!! Ive hit a serious snag in that in a moment of inspired madness, Ive gone out a bought a Volvo 960 3.0liter 24valve!!!!
So im gonna set about stipping the system this weekend and start to think about my new project!!!!!!!
Heres a pic of my new Volvo! As you can see its a 960 3.0liter in Olive green pearl with the 'Uranus' 20 spoke 16" alloys and light beige ruched leather interior.
The audio system is still standard as I let most of the old system go when I sold the 940.

At the moment I am thinking about what to do with the system, do I go with a single CD headunit or a multi changer or do I go down the route of a DVD system?
I decided to use a Nakamichi MB75 head unit in the 960 and it sounds great even through the stock speakers but i didnt get any further with the system because I just bought another Volvo but this time its a 96 850 T5-R manual (apparently there are only 23 of these babies in green in the UK)

At the momoent its running an Alpine 3De 7887 3 disc head unit again going to the stock speakers but when the turbo sounds this good who needs a radio?
