Arm Rest, Rear Seat, Carpeting, Door panels, and Z28 center console installed. Awaiting front seat, headliner, front door arm rests, and chrome door and window garnishment frame installation. Now I need to fabricate some shoulder harness mounts into the "B" pillars.
After fabricating some shoulder harness mounts into the "B" pillars all I'll need to do is wire up the power to the front seats and bolt them in place. Shouldn't take more than... 2 days. God, will it ever be done?
I used closed cell foam to re-mold the Cadillac Eldorado package tray to match the contours of the rear seat which are not symetrical. The package tray was first cut to the shape of the Chevy's rear deck then about 2 inches needed to be added to either side it only took 4 attempts to get it right!
Once it was in the correct shape I then covered it with the same Platnum Silver Ultrasuede I am using on the headliner. Now I can reinstall the backseat.
3 Point seatbelts installed. I fabricated an upper mount in the “B” pillar using some steel bar stock. I drilled and tapped it for the mounting bolts and a nut welded to it to install the upper mount for the shoulder harness. A steel plate was installed to mount the retractor at the base.
Alex installs the first layer of closed cell foam for the custom molded headliner Everyone get in the act Nancie and Alex helping to install closed cell foam for molded headliner Alex installs the flame relief he designed for the embossed flames in the headliner Ultrasuede has been applied to the headliner (needs to be brushed out). Now that's hot! Next step is the overhead console it locks into place where you see the 2 small rectangles in the middle of the center flame about half way back.
