THE TANK MAY 1988 - APRIL 2008
APRIL 5TH 2008 WAS A BAD DAY FOR THE BIRD. I WAS DRIVING DOWN ABBOTT ROAD WHEN I HIT A HUGE POT HOLE, THIS POT HOLE FAITALLY HURT THE TANK. THE CRATER WAS SO BIG A HUGE CHUNK OF THE FLOORPAN SPLIT ALSO CRACKING A PIECE OF THE REAR SUSPESION. THE REAR TIRE AND RIM ALMOST FLEW OFF IT WAS SO BADLY RUSTED OUT. I DROVE IT HOME AT ABOUT 15 MPH. ON APRIL 19 I DROVE IT TO THE GRAVE YARD AND GOT $368 FOR SCRAP METAL. IF THE TANK DIDEN'T HAVE SO MUCH RUST IT WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN DRIVEN TODAY, THE CAR RAN GREAT, BUT IN THE END THE SALT DAMAGE KILLED THE BIRD.
FINAL PICS BEFORE SCRAP YARD ON PAGE 3
This is the original tank, which was my first car.
I bought it on april 14th 2001, it was only 1500 bucks.
It was in good condition but a couple of buffalo winters killed the body on it. A couple people I know hate and make fun of it because it looks like hell now, but I love the car. Its very relieable and fun to drive. This car does some good burnouts, and can do donuts real good in the the snow, because of the light back-end.
this firebird is off the road for now, i will have more pics soon.
The interior on it is still pretty good
This car has custom pipes from Big Willy inc.
The motor work on the 2.8L v6 was done 2 years ago by k.c. automobile inc. and Jeff (fro dawg) motors and el camino spec.
changing the oil isn't fun on the f body because its so low to the ground, so i had to drive it on the ramps.
Any one wanna race? watch out for THE TANK! hey i gave that neon on the left a 4 sec head start
"hey its a good winter car!

still in storage till the winter
final milage count 118,697
