With the cowl done, it was time to move on to the damage caused by the cowl vents... the floors.
This is before, and

this is after. That was easy compared to spot welds in the cowl area.

This is with the seat platforms installed (I lowered them 1 inch) and with rust bullet painted on them. At this point all of the rust is gone, but this stuff is amazing. It is similar to POR-15, but its UV stabilized, and rock hard/solid. It is hard to grind this stuff off once its dried, not to mention if you get it on your skin.

This is a shot of the underdash area bottom of the floors once I was done sanding/cleaning them. (It took forever, but it sure is nice)

FANTASTIC car, clean and classic. both me and my wife like it ! Looks like you take good care of it, Great job !! My car is almost just like it but I finished back in 97, my body parts are from miaer racing and I also did the side scoops. your right about the end caps being hard but I sanded a little at a time and it turned out nice, are you going to put the hood trim on to complete the front? I had to bend mine to form a tight fit and then I fiberglassed it on from under the hood, plus I added the front valance with the radiator opening on it. Check it out and see.

Great job! I'm sure you've inspired many people like myself to start restoring their rusty old ponies. Thanks and all the best!

You have a great project going there. I can't wait to see it when it's done! You are definitely doing the job right...

I have two questions about your 8.8" rear end install. Where did you buy the spring perches and why did you need to replace the axles? Thanks, MustangChuck
