AFTER a long wait!! New pictures 5-18-08

Now, this is my car as purchased in early 2004. I am just now getting all the pictures uploaded, so I hope you will enjoy the transformation and feel that I have gotten quite a bit accomplished while owning the car. As always, let me know what you think.
So, let the transformation begin....

The first order of business was to address the rusted cowl vents. This and the floors were the only major spots of rust on the car, and finding a 67 w/o this damage is very difficult. There are quite a few spot welds to drill out and mine topped out at 168 (I counted them for fun when it was all over)

When I cut out the vents, this was the carnage results

I have heard you want to leave the wiper section alone if are afforded that luxury. I was... so I was glad I did not have to mess with that part. Once the vents were welded in place, this is what they looked like.

I fully welded the seam area in the cowl area and spot welded the metal seams.

When painted, it looked great with the seam sealer added for extra protection. My cowl cover was in excellent shape and required no repair (Again, I was lucky) It still had some galvanizing left on it, but I primed and painted it anyway.
