Well, on July 27, ONLY 8 weeks after driving it for the first time, I was hit from behind.  I realize it is why they call them 'accidents' and he did not do it on purpose, but it sure hurts to have it happen to you.

The first pictures look slightly better than they do, but as you dig, I think I am in for a decent amount of repairs.  I just want it back to the way it was....

The above picture on the right is the one I am most worried about.  It is in front of the wheel opening, and you can also see where the inner wheel well was pushed outward into the quarter panel.  That is number one question for the apprasier for me!

The all stainless steel 2.5" exhaust is bent as well... I hope they cover that as well!

All the inner portions of the trunk, I put sealer on during the build.  You can see where it is cracked and will have to be resealed and painted.  I did not do all this work first, to only have it half a$$ done by someone else while fixing it under insurance.

You can see the heavy scrapes and cracks on the shelby taillights... again, how are they going to fix it?  Bondo wont do!

FANTASTIC car, clean and classic. both me and my wife like it ! Looks like you take good care of it, Great job !! My car is almost just like it but I finished back in 97, my body parts are from miaer racing and I also did the side scoops. your right about the end caps being hard but I sanded a little at a time and it turned out nice, are you going to put the hood trim on to complete the front? I had to bend mine to form a tight fit and then I fiberglassed it on from under the hood, plus I added the front valance with the radiator opening on it. Check it out and see.

Great job! I'm sure you've inspired many people like myself to start restoring their rusty old ponies. Thanks and all the best!

You have a great project going there. I can't wait to see it when it's done! You are definitely doing the job right...

I have two questions about your 8.8" rear end install. Where did you buy the spring perches and why did you need to replace the axles? Thanks, MustangChuck
