Yep, I'm the one and only owner of this car. I bought it when I was in high school and drove it all over the place.
When I got my second car, I put this away. It was used sporadically for towing it 3 hours up north and used to go off road to a lake we went fishing at. There was no real access road in, so a 4x4 was the only choice. Can you imagine driving it for 3 hours? Jeeeeeeze...
Anyway, I rebuilt it a few years ago and used it for weekend potching around town. What a blast !!! And I always got people waving at me or stopping me to ask what it was.

I've had 3 Suzuki's since then, a Forsa Turbo, Swift GT, and a Grand Vitara.
Here's one of both the GV and the LJ:
Here's a funny picture for you. When I got it, there was no dealer network setup in some locations. Check out the sticker on the dash, and by the way, the AM Radio STILL WORKS !!!
The LJ80 was used in a photo shoot for an article in the Toronto Star "Wheels" Section. The article was written by automotive writing icon and TV personality Jim Kenzie. The pics here are of that photo shoot, and some of the pics are courtesy of Jim (Think he'd drive an open 4x4 through a mud hole?
I think not!!)
The article was about Suzuki's 25 years in Canada as an automotive dealership, and compared the LJ80 to an XL7.
Here are the other pics taken at the photo shoot:
