MY 1977 DODGE VAN B200 TRADESMAN (318 4-Barrel , with 727 Automatic on the column)
Here's how the Van looked just before it went into the Bodyshop to have all the rust sandblasted off & have new sheetmetal welded in (to replace any rot holes). Notice the BIG dent in the hood... ...Courtesy of my little brother Matt! The worst side, as you can see was the driver's side. I don't know why the drivers side rotted so bad? the passenger side was nowhere near this bad! You can also see the lower rear quarter is missing here, thanks to an old man who didn't look before pulling into traffic! But it ended up ok because that old man's Insurance co. paid for all the new sheetmetal I would need to REDO the Van! Here's some shots of the van just after I got it back from the guy who did the Paintjob. Notice the custom grill painted to match. the aftermarket Rims & Tires really make the van look COOL! The Rims are made by AMERICAN RACING & the tires are B.F.GOODRICH. I put brakedust covers on all 4 wheels, to keep the rims clean & shiny. I also had them painted to match the body. The driver's side looks much better know, wouldn't you agree? The rear bumper was added after these pics were taken & the Single Exhaust was scraped! in favor of Dual Glasspacks! Check out the shot from behind, you can see the 10 Inch WIDE MEATS! BEST 1/4 MILE TIME: 18.5@95MPH Here's a shot of it after I'de been driving it awhile, notice the tar & melted rubber on the rear quarter from SMOKIN' the TIRES! sorry for not getting back to you sooner! To answer some of your questions, I have air bags(Goodyear Slam Bags) that is pumped with a Viair 550 pump and I did have them in the front but it dropped so low that I snapped the front upper ball joints,so I put an complete new front suspension and left all the air plumming in place so I can put those new bag shocks in. I did have to "c" channel the rear frame to get the axel to tuck in. You can see the short video on cardomain.com,search for either "Van on air bags" or Dodge 77 B series. If you would like to discuss more about this feel free to call me anytime after 3pm during the week at 505-898-2576. If you find me on cardomain.com you'll see the new floor I put in, I got rid of the carpet. Hope to hear from you, not alot of vanners here!!
