This is my 1983 Camaro Z28 that I purchased yesterday 1/7/06.
My dad has been going with me to LACR for the last few months to watch me run my Chevelle and decided that he would like to get a car to race with. He had been looking around and found this Z28 that a friend of ours had. The friend bought it as a father and sons project to get into the 200mph club at the salt flats but his sons were not interested in it. Since his sons weren't interested he decided to build a different car.
this is a L69 car which means it has a 190hp H.O. 305 which happens to not run. That didn't really matter to us because my dad already has a 350 in his boat that he is going to pull to put in the car. It's bored .030 over and has 10.5:1 compression, Dart heads, Comp Cams 305H cam, Weiand Stealth intake and an 850 Holley. It makes around 420-430hp so the blown motor doesn't really matter to us. Also, because it's a L69 car it came from the factory with 3.73s and a posi as well as a 5 speed.
