I bought my baby in June 2001, from a dealer! (My mistake) However, Seeing as it is a chevy and all, I have put 60,000 miles on her without having to fix ONE THING on it! As I was signing the paperwork I was on the phone with Best Buy install, to get a stero put in. (The reason this is a Best Nuy install, is because My sister works there and got me a great deal) Anyway, I went with the custom box for the Camaro, and got 12" holes. I got Rockford Fosgate subs, amp, and capacitor. As show here:

I seen some real nice setups for the customization of stereo's but what I like about mine, is that if you look inside my car all you can see is a CD player in the front, not "system".

This makes for a real nice look too. I park in the garage so I do not worry about my stero too much, but I do park at a park and ride for work a lot. So, That is a worry.

I had the front plates off, but In Wisconsin you need it on, so I think I got about a month out of it, then I got pulled over. Cops need better things to do. I have gotten pulled over 3 times for a "amplified stero device" Each time I took it to court and won. However, it is a huge joke of my area now, because I am on the Fire Dept. and I know all that cops, so when I get a call they always hear my coming.

As far as how loud my stereo is . .. I really don't have numbers. I would LOVE to get the decibels (spelling) checked out, but I don't know where to do that at. So as for now, I KNOW for a fact that you can hear me from at least 3 blocks away. at about 2 blocks you know what I am playing, and at 1 block you can hear the words.

To keep my car clean I use only Microfiber products on it.
