Someone has actually came into MY garage aked me if it is any fun owning a car like this!!! I sure hope you read this, because if it weren't any "fun" we would not have a custom car like this one. This is just down right RUDE!!!

This person's "opinion" says it belongs in the trash. I strongly disagree. First off, vintage cars like Kool Kat are not your "run of the mill "modern" cars". All sixty model style cars were recognizable. It wasn't hard to tell a Pontiac from a Chevy or any other GM made car for that matter. GM, Chrysler, Ford Motor, American Motor, every last car manufacturer had a distinct style, and while some of the models in thier lines had some interchangable parts, for the most part, they were still unique. Not like todays cars where you HAVE to look at the emblem on the car to tell what it is. Where is the fun in THAT?

In the vintage sector, there are "purists" and then there are those of us who totally enjoy making our older car a one of a kind. For a long time, the purists weren't to fond of what customizers did, and the customizer has generally respected the fact that someone wants original. The arguments flew back and forth, and yes there are still a lot of purists out there that don't like what a customizer does, but with a lot of OTHER folks trying to totally wipe out the older cars, with government legislation, the classic car enthusiasts have united to fight this legislation. Both Purist and customizer alike are pretty upset about losing this form of our "heritage".

There is a pride and even some prestiege about owning an older car. For those of us who are into this, you can not imagine the fun we have!!! It is so far out of your closed mind thinking league, that it is far from funny. You can't appreciate what we or doing or why!!! So, go ahead and trash what we are doing, it doesn't bother me a bit! While you drive a car that is putting American workers on the welfare line and putting major car manufacturers out of business, just remember this when one of your family members has to go begging for food because you drive Jap Crap. My hat isn't off to you, NO WAY, what is "TRASH" is the thinking of many about crushing every old car and erasing the heritage that these cars represent. What is "trash" is looking down your nose at us who totally enjoy taking an old car and making it beutifull again. So go ahead and trash what we do, for those of us who own the older cars, we see what you drive is the "trash". For those of us who own older cars, we face and love the challenge of finding treasured parts for our cars. Your trash is our treasure, and to end my little speach. OLDER CARS ARE PRECIOUS METAL!! What is your "new" car made out of?????? I guarantee you this, MOST OF IT ISN'T METAL, BUT PLASTIC, and while metal rusts, it can be repaired, once plastic breaks, IT IS BROKEN BABY!!!
