Dolio's 2000 Honda InsightHere we have one of the most advanced automobiles in existence, the Honda Insight . In 2000 it was the first mass production gas-electric hybrid. A Hybrid uses two sources of power for movement, in this case it uses gas to run the 1.0 liter 3 cylinder v-tec-e ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), and it uses Electricity to run a 10 kW electric motor which is located between the ICE and the transmission, directly on the crank shaft. You can find more than you ever wanted to know about the Insight at InsightCentral.net. Check out their Interactive Encyclopedia.

Dolio's 2000 Honda InsightIf you haven't read anything about this car, don't knock it. It can easily achieve 70MPG or more. It has no problem reaching highway speeds, and yes it will go faster than 80mph. It is very quick and nimble in the corners, due to it's super low curb weight. It has been known to beat Neons on the track (link to come). I have personally made very good times on long distance road trips. This is what It might look like if I were to rice out the body with lower skirts and a big ol' wing. But in all honesty It'll probably just make it less aerodynamic, and you know I'de want to be able to back up the look with some real performance, so the wing and body kits will have to wait.
