Hows it going everyone? Heres some pictures of my car, i hope you like it, if you dont, oh well, i could care less, later.
These are pictures of the custom JL Audio rear speaker covers I created.
This is a picture of the covers drawn onto the material I used. It is the styrofoam with posterboard on both sides. It is pretty strong, but I figured it would rattle.
I used a plastic sheet to reinforce the posterboard. I then used a red felt to cover them. I glued the felt into place with super glue. This is a picture of one of them in place.
This is a picture of the speakers covers in place through the rear windshield. I think they turned out pretty nice.
For those of you wondering I put solid covers on the speakers in the rear......there are no speakers there......when I got my system, I had to rip everything out and start from scratch because the car was wired in such a way that I had to go through the company in order to get any upgrades.......another way for those money hungry corporation punks to make a little extra money on the side.....back to the grills.....there are no speakers there....I went with nice MB Quarts up front so I wouldnt need them in the back.......I highly reccomend these speakers.....they are very powerful and are not drowned out by the 2 12w0s.
