This car was found in a sugar cane field just outside Durban, South Africa. Slowly dying in the sea air, rusting to oblivion.
I asked myself.....Gregg, as a true believer in the Legend never dies.....could you leave her to die alone and unloved in the cane fields of Natal!!!!!!! Never I say... so the labour of love was born. This is her as she looked the day she came "Home " To me... and a pic of her as I started work.
Today she is a Daily driver that is as sweet as the day she left the factory. I want to enhance her performance with stock VW performance parts, and create a Fifties Style Cafe racer.
Going to be awesome.... :)

I almost sold her at one stage, when I could not source parts, but sanity prevailed. Was she worth it? Yes every Drop of sweat, every tear cried, every skinned knuckle...BUT however???? if the price is right well....we'll see.
My next aquisition awaits me in my workshop, a "63" LHD German import, now with her.....Lets see A need for some Kickass Speed And Sound, I think supercharging will be the order of the Day,Lowered front and rear, porsche headlights , Suicide doors and,at least a 108 Db ICE system, with DVD. Sorry If I have to leave you there, but the WORKSHOP beckons again
