Studebakers including the stubby Larks are very cool
I have owned this Lark since 1972. It has modified original v8 motor. Nothing too radical, just a healthy overbore with good quality alloy pistons, fully balanced, and a very healthy cam.
Intake manifold is a stude four barrel with a riser plate and edelbrock 1404. A one off clutch, a Borg Warner four speed gearbox with floor shift and 3.31 diff from a 66 stude. Wheels are early australian ROH brand real magnesium. Five slot mags still look grunty and are making a comeback. Tyres are Firehawks. Any vee eight Lark can really fly when properly tuned, which surprises many Ford and Chev enthusiasts, and they stand out in a crowd!
Nice clean lines, not unlike a Ford Falcon or other early sixties compact...Car is being developed as an R1 clone, some finishing touches yet to follow
Stude Larks are very cool
