If you can believe it, this has been a project car for me. This is my second fox mustang. The first one i had was a 4 cylinder 2.3 liter 5 speed. My clutch cable kept on breaking and it sucked. It was great on gas though. I knew my gas mileage would go down the drain when i bought this, but i'm willing to pay that price. If anyone bitches about gas on mustangs they shouldn't be driving a mustang. Its as simple as that!
This is around summer of August 2005. I bought it for $1800.

I did some sanding to the hood where some rust was showing, and i primed it.

You can also see where the bottom ground effect on the front bumper was busted.
I purchased a 93 cobra front bumper cover to replace it.

This made me laugh. The tailights don't match! haha.

This is the motor. I haven't really changed anything. I did clean it up some, which you can't see really in these poor quality pictures.

There is a story with this motor. Its not the original block. It came out of a truck. We believe it was an F-150. It has many of the original parts like the intake manifold, and valve covers. The car on the odometer reads 157,000 miles. This motor has around 85,000 miles on it. Its got plenty of life in it. Enough to get me through school atleast.

This is the motor after i did my magic on it. MAACO doesn't pull apart your car to paint it. I did the door jams and engine bay myself.

The spruced up manifold.

This is the interior. Nothin special, except it is in very good shape.

It got a little spruced up after i added some stuff to it.

Heres the interior after a large armorall cleaning.

Around november it went to MAACO in Peoria, IL. I paid 376 dollars for this paintjob. Not bad huh?

Another thing I was wanting to do was get rid of these ridiculous looking wheels.

So i did! They are 17x9 Gunmetal Cobra R replicas. They are surrounded by Fuzion HRI tires.

I added some cobra badges and fog lights.

Here is a shot of the dual flowmaster exhaust.

4/17/06:

the new hood pins.
With the lanyards.

The painted drums and calipers.
I also detailed the engine area and painted some things to make it look better.

Here is the freshly painted water pump.

Most of my accessories were painted to look better than before. I think it turned out decent.
Its hard to say that these are the same cars.

On 5/26/06 Me and my good friend Derek embarked on a journey to make my original intake manifold look brand new.

Looks pretty nasty...
This manifold had 158,000 miles on it. It was flushed through, and polished up. It took some major steps to get this done. It had nasty black sludge built up in it, and corosion all over it. It was sandblasted.

Half and half here.

Once the sandblasting completed it was sanded, buffed, and polished. Here is the final result.

It was late night when we finished, the pictures don't do it justice. So here are some daylight pics.

All in all, this is my first "money pit" car. This car isn't the fastest by all means, but it will still leave stop lights in a hurry and get up and go no problem when you want it to.
