Here is the Jeep that started it all for me, my '89 YJ.
When I bought it in Nov. 2003, it was completely stock except for the 30x9.50x15" FireStone Wilderness AT IIIs and 15x7" American Racing AR23 rims. It was too low for my tastes.
Over the course of the next year, I added a set of Rusty's Offroad 3" leaf-spring packs (very soft and flexy!), 5/8" M.O.R.E. boomerang shackles, DT3000 shocks, and a 1" DayStar bodylift. I also added a set of TJ fender flares to open up the very small YJ wheelwells. You can find my technical writeup on the homepage of my Jeepclub (New England Jeepz in my Links section).
I have run with 32x10.50x15" SuperSwamper TSL Radials and 33x12.50x15" BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO tires, and I prefer the BFGs for everyday use. The Swampers are great for playing in the woods and mud, though.
I sold the Jeep after buying my Woody. CarDomain member "lilbeastiert" now owns my YJ, and is doing one heck of a build on it.
