HERE'S THE FIRST PIC FOR THE SEASON (MARCH 30-2006)
I'LL UPDATE THROUGHOUT THE 2006 SEASON...WHEN WE'RE NOT CRUISING...OF COURSE!!!
My husband first picked me up hitch hiking almost 20 years ago in this Charger. We had 4 kids in that time frame and unfortunatly the car had to be parked for the last 9 years. This past April 05 we sent her off to the body shop. We got her back by the end of Sept. 05 all shiny and hot looking!!
She needed so much work I don't know where to start. New floor pans front to back, new full quarter panels-both sides,new fuel tank,new fuel lines,new exhaust. Replaced both doors,rear valance and tail light panel.The calipers were rebuilt and all new brake lines were installed. CONCEALED HEADLIGHTS:When the headlights are turned on, engine vacuum opens the doors in the grille. When the headlights are turned off, the doors close.
Originally single exhaust -switched to dual in the mid 80's
GASOLINE FILLER CAP: A racing type gasoline filler cap was standard on both Charger R/T and Charger. We have the lock feature that was available as an extra cost option.
Numbers matching 383 2brl.727 TorqueFlite automatic- console.(When the extra cost console was selected,the gearshift selector lever was mounted in the console.)
