I bought this 1985 Jeep Cherokee from a friend.I know it has potential to be a great 4x4.It has a 2.8 v6 its not the best engine I know, but it is what I have.It has a NP-207 Command Trac transfer case.It has a Dana35 rear axle (regearing a Dana44).A Dana30 front axle (regearing a Dana44).It's an automatic transmission. If you know something about this vehicle and have some ideas for me please let me know.Your help would be great. The interior is pretty clean(now)after about two days of scrubbing. Here are some more pictures for your viewing.

Nice 85, i wish mine was a 2 door. As for all of your parts needs goto quadratec.com, they have everything you could ever want for a jeep and the prices arnt too bad either. They have saved me a ton on parts for my XJ. Come on by and check out my XJ when you get a chance. Keep on Jeepin!

Hey, what's up? Yeah i have ordered all the parts i need for the rearend swap...gears and all new brake hardware and parts...i am just going to stick with the 3.73 gears for now...I am ordering the X Factor Short Arm 4.5 inch lift kit from Rock Krawler (rockkrawler.com) 2morrow. I just found out that they are located 10 min from my house!!! Never knew they were there. I thought all those companies were in cali, zona or utah...It's good to see companies like that coming to the northeast. I went and talked to them and they really are a great bunch of people. hmmm...maybe i should get a discount for promoting them lol...i am going to get 33 inch tires as soon as i can find a good package deal with wheels considering my stock wheels were pretty much rusted through. So i will keep looking for the tire deals if i run across any i will let you know. cya
