Well, this my father's in law MINI VTEC. It is a pure racing car. It is used for quarter of a mile racing. It has a HONDA 1.6L, 16v VTEC Engine producing around 185bhp @ 9500rpm. It is made of carbon-fibre and it is super light, around 500Kg. If you make one to one physics, light weight equal more speed!! Here in the photo it has no grill and rear spolier, they were added later on. It got nitrious oxide (NOS) installed, but never used so far to make a run. It also got a programmable racing ECU. The height of this car is less than 4 feet!!!!
This is the owner, Mr Benjamin Bonnici better known as Benny, and also the driver of all these intersting minis. He is a very good driver!!!!! on the road and on the track!!!! He is a managing director, but also a fine mechanic so he works on all the minis himself with some of his friends.
Here below are the racing alloy wheels
Here below is the engine, an amazing machine. It is completely stock accept for the intake and the manifold. It makes the quarter of a mile in just above 12 seconds, and completely stock. Many modifications to came, like cam-shafts ecc....
Here below is the racing interior, with bucket seat.
Yes, dear friends, that rev-counter does go up to the top, almost 10,000 rev!!!!
Here is a photo on the start line at the race track racing against a Ford Escort MKII with 2.0L modified, of course, the mini VTEC Won!!!!
Here below is the recent rear spolier added for aero-dynamics purposes.
Below is a picture of some of the minis which he owns, all with different characteristics. There is also a very rare US Navy WWII Truck manufactured by JEEP.
