Update:

Well, time has nearly come to say goodbye to this fine car.... I need to focus my attentions on other projects.

I've had this car for around 5 or 6 years now, and its completely been transformed. My friends and I were joking the other day that every part has been replaced or changed. Actually, nearly everything has been!

I'm just in the process of finishing painting the rear end. The panel under the rear windshield was rotten as normal on these cars, and needed replacement. I replaced the panel with a new original factory piece, and I've sourced a new invisible wire rear windshield and new seal, along with a new trunk lid and trunk seal.

Just also finished converting the manual seats to electric, replaced all broken and worn springs in the seats, and having the worn piping replaced with new.

The cruise control unit has been newly rebuilt, but I've yet to test it. I have LED lamps in the tail lights, and the cruise control refuses to operate with these.

Oh yeah, and the A/C works great, and is ice cold!

Anyway, if you are interested in purchasing this car, send me a message and i'll let you know when it's 'done' and ready for sale.

----------------------------

Here is my car, it started out as a basic Euro 500 SEL. It had a grey velour interior, and bundt cake wheels. I payed £80 originally for the car (about $150 US)

Now it's quite transformed! I think the main difference is the SEC nose conversion. I did all of the work myself, and it wasn't an easy task! I also upgraded the engine to a 'Euro' M117 5.6 V8, with high output option. I also have deleted the mechanical fans and water pump in favour of their more efficient electric counterparts.

The wheels are OZ racing Futura, in 8.5x17, with 13mm offset. Tyres are Pirelli 255/40 and 235/45. I do have the centre caps for these too now, visible in the third picture.

Suspension wise, I upgraded the shocks to GAZ adjustable units, and also installed K-Mac rear trailing arm bushes. My camber was way out before, I was getting around 5000 miles from a set of rear tyres!

Other misc upgrades include Leather interior, HID headlights, larger 560 front brakes, tri-Y headers and brand new 560 exhaust system, smoked lights all around, LED tail lights, bumper chrome delete, and in the process of deleting it around the windows too. Lots more to do as time permits.

Anyway, i'm now on the hunt for an AMG front spoiler to fit the generation 2 SEC bumper.

The sad remains of what was once a 560 SEC. Dont worry, the car had been in a rear end collision.

I installed the nose conversion myself, and already had the SEC donor car. Maybe in consumables like welding and grinding items it cost about 15 ($20-$25). The main cost was painting. The hood, fenders, bumper and front doors were painted for around $700-$800.
