The body and paintwork took about 5 months. The rear beaver panel had to be completely replaced, a brand new one was ordered from Mazda.
Rust around the windscreen wipers was repaired. It was rubbed back to baremetal and painted in 2pak Black. Stone tray was replaced, boot replaced, all stainless steel was polished. Some straight front and rear bumpers were found.
Brand new parts including new grille, light surrounds, rubber, 2x RX5/1x rotary engine/x1 mazda front grille/x1 mazda boot badges, door handles, ect was bought from Mazda. A new windscreen was also installed.









It was then towed back to the workshop to have the 13b bridgeport put back in.


1st day back on the streets with the new paintjob these photos were taken.





By the end of 1998, the bridgeport, weber, exhaust system was sold and another engine was in the RX5. An 11 second 13b turbo package..
