This was the new look giving to my Delta, Fall 2008. More Details to follow. This page will stay up in memory of Onyx Jett!
I did carry full coverage on the car and got back a decent amount of money. I even told the insurance company I'd be will to pay more deductable to get my car back on the road. It was considered, but it just wasn't in the cards
The real kicker is that if I didn't try to avoid the accident and just hit straight on, I'd still have the car. I was told this by my mech, an Oldsmobile Specialty body shop, and Allstate insurance company. Trying to avoid the accident bent the frame :( I took it to 3 body shops before just giving up
This will not keep me down. I fully intend on building another Olds one day in the future. Don't know if I'll do a Delta 88, Cutlass Sedan, or a Cutlass "A" body. I really don't care for the "G" body Cutlass just because EVERYBODY likes to modify them. I like to stand out in the crowd.
I had a 3 years of my time invested into this car as well as a lot of money. I built this car myself. I put in the motor myself I upgraded the 350 motor with a new manifold and carb, myself. It's not about saving money, it was about building something myself and taking pride in was I did. Not just ordering parts and taking it to the shop and saying "Can you put this on for me?"
I did have somebody else rebuild the trans, 800 miles before the accident, but I don't know how to rebulid a tranny
