Wheels started like this:
And ended like this:
With a 50 gallon copressor and a cheep sandblaster, it took about 6 hours to do 1 wheel.
I didnt take the tire of the wheel, but that would make it easier.
If you leave the tire on, make sure you tape it up to protect it from the sandblaster and paint.
It would also make it alot easier to get it professionally sandblasted. i think i was quoted about 50 bucks to have it done, but then you have to get the tires off the rim.
to do all 4 rims it would be a full weekend job, if you have your own sandblaster.
Make sure to follow the directions on the paint! DO NOT try to rush the painting. Make sure it has time to dry
My clearcoat takes a full 5 days to dry. but its hard after just 30 mins.
Its ok to put them on the car after about 4 hours of drying, but dont drive it for about 2 or 3 days.
getting it professionaly sandblasted might take a little longer, but might end up with a silightly better quality, although mine turned out perfect.
what looks like paint on the tire is actually just sandblasting dust, it whiped off no problem
make sure you let the paint dry for atleast a day before putting any chemicals on it, that means tire foam!
