She's back! the birds all painted up looking more beautiful than ever! its an acrylic enamel 2005 porsche lipstick red and it looks exactly how i had expected BUT better.. anyways check it out

For christmas i got brand new platinum spark plugs, and molded mudflaps. They were installed yesterday and look awesome!:)

I got my alarm/starter for christmas, and it was installed today! It's a phat new autostart system, with a blue LED light installed next to the rearview mirror.

We've been doing a lot of prep body work for the paint job. Any dents, rust, scratches, oxidized paint.. everything is being redone.

Today we figured out how to install the new shift knob and got it on.. it looks sweet!

My new shift knob came in the mail yesterday, cant wait to get it on! its a ractive sports shift knob. And we finished spraying and polishing all the rims!

We are in the process of polishing the rims, sanding them down, and spraying them chrome. They actually turn out really nice. These will eventually end up being my winter tires and rims.

Heres a nice pic of the hood and headlights. In the future I will probably think about getting some ultra-white headlight bulbs. A couple weeks ago we bought the headlight motor to repair one of the headlights so that it would open and shut lol. (cuz one wasn't working.)

I just bought new brake pads and rear shoes. My dad and I installed them yesterday and today and the car can now stop on a dime.
Engine
Here is the stock 2.8L engine. It only has approximately 145 horses right now but it wont be driven as if it were a speed demon. I bought it for its looks and above average fuel economy (at least for american hatchback coupes.) It is Multi-port fuel injected and runs great. I think that also in the future i will look into a K&N air filter system and/or a super chip (and probably lots of other things to improve the fuel economy and hp.)

I just bought this '86 2.8L firebird as my first car, and it needs a paint job and some bodywork, but i have a year until i can get my learner's lisence so that's enough time to work on it. I will have some pics of what it looks like now (totally stock) up soon!
