For now I want to show the modification I did to my Daytime Running lights to make it possible to disable them or enable them with a flick of a switch. Some employers, like the military, require you to turn your headlights off. So Toyota released a bulitin on how to do this by removing a wire from this module, I took it a step further by adding a switch rather then removing the wire.
First remove the module from the truck and remove the endcap, 4 tabs hold it on and it can be removed easily with a small screwdriver. Next pull out the circuit board, it should slide out easily.
Next cut the trace on the last thick plug connection leaving enough space so you can clean the trace and solder a wire on either side of where you cut. I used a 14 Gauge wire.
Drill a hole in the side of the enclosure making sure there will be space for the switch body when the circuit board is replaced. Attach the wires to the switch and circuit board and then install the switch as shown.
