this is what my trans am looks like for now. i have a ram air 2 hood on the way and a new paint job coming up with in the next year

here are the pics my new carbed 383 with a summit 31x19" radiator installed

i had to make some extention brackets and tilt the radiator towards the engine to clear the hood but it fits rather well. i also had to give the side of the radiator supports a couple of love taps to get it fit in without rubbing against them. basically what i had to do to the radiator was trim the top and bottom fins off to make it sit lower to the original position. then i went to the local hardware store and purchased some rubber gasket material to insulate the metal frame from rubbing on the bottom of the radiator. then i squeezed some round rubber stoppers to stop the bottom from sliding forward. i also had removed the a/c condenser.
since i had to tilt the radiator
towards the motor i had to convert
to an electric fan set up. i used
a dual fan set up from a 90 t/a
and mounted a switch under the
fog light switches so it is hidden.

thanx to the guys at f body motorsports i was able to upgrade my old 85 mph cable driven speedo up to a 160 mph one and went back to the 82-84 style guages to match the new speedo

these are my digital pillar guages for
oil temp, air fuel, and fuel press.

this is my intall of my 2 10" kickers with a sony xplod 1200watt amp

there will be more mods to come thinking of a notchback hatch and gold gta wheels. hooker long tube headers and a true dual exhaust. will post dyno after engine is broken in.
finally picked up and installed my ram air II hood last week. i cant wait to get the whole car painted and all the decals done it should look really nice.

finally put some spray paint on that ugly yellow

i removed all gray trim and carpet and threw it out and found black pieces from a donor car and got some real nice floor mats.

here i kept the original door panels since the center console is gray too it blends in real well i felt no need to do black door panels too. even though i have them. i also have a black headliner from hawks third gen waiting to go in after i send my seatbelts out to have them restored to a nice black. eventually i will get around to finding some nice black seats as well.
next pics will be of my re done engine. i have gotten a nice cog pulley kit and gotten rid of the power steering and went to a manual gear box and also removed the a/c as well so i can clean it up a bit. i am also pulling the cam in my 383 an going for something a bit bigger. i wast happy with 300rwhp. will update as soon as i am done.
ok so here are the updated engine pics. it is still awaiting a tune and some exhaust work so ill keep posted once i get the dyno numbers.

i really like the look of the pulley kit since i did away with the power steering and put in a manual box. and the aluminum look is much better than the old chrome because it wont rust in a year or so. i have added afr 1034 heads and a comp cam xr288 retro roller cam, a mighty demon 750cfm carb and dyno dons custom 1 3/4" shorty headers. and 1.5 comp cams steel roller rockers. my old setup put out 296rwhp and i am expecting a big change with this one. at least close to a 100hp difference. but we'll see. according to afr their engine with these parts put out 500 at 5500rpm at 9.5:1 compression and my motor is at 10.1:1 or so.
