Beast From The East

This is my baby...My dad bought her new back in 84 when we lived in CT...thats where she got her name...Beast from the East. She has a Manual Transmission, a little 2.8L V6, and of course 4 Wheel Drive : )

She has a lil mud on her as you can see. I've never been stuck yet while messin around off road 4 x 4 is treatin me pretty well

you can see that we're in the middle of rebuilding her...the spare tire isnt on the back like usual (pic below)

250,000 miles and still haulin...rebuilt engine once, original transmission

tires aren't too big...215 75R 15 i think thats the biggest I can put on there without havin any rub when I'm makin those tight turns tearin through the neighborhood

My dad and i were going to tear her down and rebuild it from the inside out until my mom asked for a divorce...now we dont have any money to put into her. The interior is mostly gutted. I have a stereo in there of course...Pioneer Head unit, 5 1/4's, and 6 x 9's, Kenwood 800 watt amp pushin 2 10" 500 watt subs...hits pretty hard. i had two 12" subs in there too at one point lol

It used to have the Bronco II with the horses on the side till someone stole my horses back when we lived in CT. They slashed the beautiful buckin bronco tire cover too...i was too young at the time to realize what happened, but now that she's mine I'm pissed at whoever did that!

oh yea...has anyone else ever had anything near/around/on top of their gas tank catch on fire?? well, we did. my dad drove her home from work one day, and he came up the driveway (its on a bit of a slope) and it left a trail of gas up the driveway! Burnt up the top of the tank, all the wiring was melted. So we replaced the tank, fuel line, and wiring. Had to take the skid plate off first though.

thats me keepin her runnin

sorry i didnt respond....i havnt even been on here until like april 16th lol. but yeah i can turn the wheels all teh way and the tires dont rub (but then again mines a 1990 so maybe the fenders are a little bigger on them i dont know for sure)...the only time they rub is on the back fenders when you hit a big bump or dip...you just have to bend the fender lip up and i guess i might need new shocks too but im raising it so its not a problem. my uncle did all the body work and paint for me for free...but it was like a xmas present...and i paid only like 1600 for the car and it leaked a little oil and had a little rust but that was it. but i think its a bargain! haha. nice bronco II btw

I probably have about $7,000 in my Bronco II for a rough estimate. A lot of that was put into performance parts for the engine and transmission, you could build one that looked like mine for a $5,000 or less. Just about every moving part on my truck is new - from the internals of the engine to the rims, so I don't think $7,000 is bad for a truck with 0 miles on all it's important parts and the looks and performance I will get out of mine.
