Ok first off they didn't have a "bus" catagory so this is the best I could find.... The "50" a 1968 Chevrolet C50 65 passenger School Bus/ex Corrections Bus. History: Bus started life as a normal school bus in W.V. but during its long life it got mixed up with a bad crowd, lol. Jump to 2001, im finishing my last year in high school and looking on the internet and they she was I knew I had to have her. The bus was on an ebay auction and I picked it up for 800 dollors! When we went to pick her up she ran ok not the greatest and was completly empty. Over the years she has changed the set up inside many times. One of the last set ups we put in carpet and tables. A t.v. playstation set up and a wet bar in back. This was my second car in High school, and the only one to come with me this far.

Drive Train: Has the orginal 292 inline 6 motor, I will say this...It is one of the greatest GM motors ever made, and it pulls as good as a big block 366 or 427 bus motors. 4 speed with split rear end so 8 speed trans. Pictures show bus as she is, little wore out but well up keep on her by me. We "Restored" the paint last year, no new pictures of that yet but ill be shure to get some and put some up on here.

Today: The bus had been on many trips any where from 20 miles to 1,000 and has always made it, nock on wood, and will still be using her. Always take her 2 times a year to the Jeffersion Car show in Jeffersion Wisconsin, thats where the pictures come from. You should just see the looks we get when I take her places, lol and when my cop car follows look out! Many Many stories with this bus, but this page dosen't have enough room to tell them all! Thats about it for now, Ill sell all my other cars before this old gal, too many memories in her!!! UPDATE: 03/29/06

Well went out to start the old bus today, but the batterys were dead must have left somthing on last time...??? But with a jump start she came to life, that damn bus has never left me down. Took the camara along and got a few shots of the new paint, but it was very dusty at storage so it needs a good wash but it rained that day so it helped a little bit! Went out for a little drive and the throttle cable stuck!!!, but with a quick peddle to the floor it came back thank god! A Little WD40 and it was good as new, but then the 2 speed in the rear wasent working from sitting so long, so ill have to investagate that latter. Did that before, just think it hung up again. Ok...
