THE INTRO
Hello,
Just another car bought for my wife.
A small Malaysian made car (copied from Daihatsu Move). The space inside is relatively small...compared to my other ride. Hehehe..But something good about it, is, the smaller the space, the easier to work with to get a good sound. I believed.
THE IDEA
I ripped off the entire system in my 850 since i believed i could just do better than that in a new set up/ arrangement and hardwares. It was sounding good, but not the best.
As for this car, i intend to use as little $$$ as possible. Bottom line, it has to produce good sound "par to par" to those hi-end system.
Sounds sweet, huh?...
THE HARDWARES
> An old, very old "AUDITION 454x" amp 45w x 4ch. Said to be Made In USA. A friend of mine has an identical amp, but labelled as "AudioControl 454". If there is anybody out there who still keep the manual for this amp, please email me at xonycbox@tm.net.my. Thanks.
> A pair of 400amp x 7mts welding cables (each for power & ground)
> 10 mts speaker cable (Belden immitation)
> 2 pairs of home made RCAs with Belden cores. (this time original Belden)
1 unit B52 10" sub.
> A pair of Infinity 605cs components.
> A lot of fiberglass resin & stuff.
> A lot of time.
> A lot of patience.
> A lot of passion.
> A damn lot of noise from wife & daughter.
THE OBJECTIVE
My Proton Wira "xonycbox project 1" was my best achievement so far, but it is nothing compared to those new ideas in the market nowadays. I take my hat off to the great systems featured in CA&E, not forgetting Steve Brown's great builds. This project is the platform for me to try those installs i never tried before;
> Kick-panel speaker
> Center sub
