I bought this GP GTP as a winter car in 2003. The price was very reasonable, it had 80K miles and ran great, but was in need of some serious TLC. To start with, I don't think it had ever been waxed since it left the dealer new in 1998. The brakes needed work, and a lot of regular maintenance items needed attention. The good thing is the previous owner had run synthetic oil since 10K miles, and with the 3800's insane reliability I should expect this car to last me until I'm sick of it.
I changed the supercharger oil, transmission fluid and filter, all pads and rotors, and while I was at it I sprung for the front brake upgrade.

Of course, this car could not stay stock. After driving my Z's for so long, this thing felt like it could not get out of its own way... and handled like poop on a stick. I added the following over time:
Press-on Thrasher 3.4" Pully.
K&N 9" Cone filter.
Straight pipe in place of stock u-bend and resonator.
DHP v1.0 re-programmed PCM.
1 heat range colder spark plugs.
MSD plug wires.
180 degree t-stat.
After the modifications it ran a 13.9 @ 99mph at US131 motorsports park with a 2.2 second 60' time. So it's still slow.
I just recently added:
ZZP 1.9 ratio rockers
ZZP 3" downpipe with off road pipe
I hope it will make low 13's at the track this coming year, but my g-tech says 13.5...
