This is a 1962 Fiat 500 model D with suicide doors in European version. It has 2 cylinders with 499cc. air-cooled engine twin turbocharged never dyno ran to figure new hp. This car is in modified original condition and has never been restored. It has been in raced for many years inside france before it was being driven by a previous elderly senile lady owner in Italiane. Now it is a street racer throughout france and surrounding roads
The car shows its age with many rust through points and it does not phase the perfomance. All doors and windows are in working order. Interior still has the original seat covers with sign of age but a good cleaning can make it presentable, but the seat cover for the driver's seat has tears . All switch, odometer, & steering are in original and quite good condition. The odometer shows 225561 kilometers. The front panel doesn't have heavy rust, only superficial ones and has fixable dents. The interior front panel is solid and so is the parts under the spare tire. The front quarter panel, left and right tips, present rust through and has to be definitely fixed. The rear quarter panel tips also have some minor rust through. The lower part of the right door has some rust as well. The floors have to be fixed or changed definitely, floors are always the weakest points typical of these kinds of cars. The left side sill panel has some rust through.

The engine and clutch, perhaps due to the low kilometer, runs well. The brakes work and the car is drivable. The turbos are Brand New 40R Garrets that can push out many unneeded psi.

As you may know, the Fiat 500 model D ( made from 1960-1965 ) with suicide doors is becoming more and more rare to find. This model is most desired by collectors. The metal roof part is removable all the way back to the engine hood and is possible to replace with a soft roof. The value of this car in restored or unrestored condition is much higher than other models F,L,R. The car is less than 10 feet in length and weighs approximately 500 kilograms.
