This is my Volkswagen Golf GT syncro

Volkswagen syncro's have mechanical all wheel drive. This is a full time 4x4 system. Unfortunately only one golf syncro was ever officially imported to north america, a turbo 16 valve; The Zonker golf.
Since I live in Canada this one had to be imported from Germany.
It is equipped with semi-trailing arm rear suspension giving it independant 4 wheel suspension.
My syncro was built in the Wolfsburg manufacturing plant in Germany.
On the rear quarters is the word SPECIAL which denotes the GT trim. Although this car is a GT model in options and on the id sticker, it does not have any GT badging. I think this was to save on insurance rate's. I am not sure if there are any
Power is put through a 5 speed manual transmission. It has sport ratio's rather than the regular economy setup. With this transmission every gear is effective, including 5th gear. The ratio's are set up for driving enjoyment between each shift. They get closer in the higher gear's to make up for wind resistance at high speed.
This car is rated at 45 miles per gallon at 75 miles per hour. I have experienced this fuel economy several times, with an average of 40 mpg with mixed driving over the year.
It has oak green paint it is a 2 door with a single round headlight grill.
It is equipped with power steering, rear defrost, rear wiper, MultiFunctionAccesory , heated power mirror's, 4 wheel ABS power brakes, rear antennae, big bumper's, functional rear spoiler, smoked tail light's, smoked turn signal's
