Question: What engine would you prefer in a 79-81 Trans Am?
*Here is what I started with in May '02. I found REX on my search for a new ride after the loss of my first love "Camarosaurus84". This T/A was built from 3 other birds. I found this 81 TURBO T/A body with a built up Pontiac 400 motor and shift kitted tranny with a high stall in it already (was a drag car previously) along with an 80 Firebird body and a bunch of spare parts. I also had a 79 T/A that I used the interior out of which was in EXCELLENT condition. I had to keep the snorkel hood on it for that motor, but I do have the original white Turbo hood. I also decided to keep the firebird fenders on it instead of switching back to fender vents, to keep the smooth appearance*
