Here is my Bronco

Andrewwbr2's 1987 Ford Bronco II

Well I have an 87 Ford Bronco II bought it for 450 bucks and said everything worked great well. I got there and the trans was shot and the throttle assembly was cut. so I got a rebuilt A4LD which looking back I would not have done but I needed it so I put it in assembled the new linkage and have had no trouble since. I have done a lot of upgrades and maintenance. The Stereo has been upgrade to a Jensen CD player(had it lying around) pioneer speakers all the way around and two 12" subs with a 1400 watt amp. not much but enough for me. I have put A 3" lift on and 31" mud tires along with a lot of engine work. (new radiator, water pump battery, every sensor in there, and the list goes on.) But the reason I started this was because My engine is starting to go and I want no let me rephrase NEED more power. So I have found a 1980 302 from a Mercury Capri but not really...
In the short block there are the following goodies:
Hypereutectec .030 over Keith Black pistons (KB115+.030)
TRW rings, rods, mains, gaskets and oil pump
Cloytes timing set
ARP rod bolts
ARP head bolt kit
Burtonsville Machine did all of the work which included:Hot tank R&R cam bearings and freeze plugs Parallel deck for 0 deck Magnifluxed rods and crank . Bore and hone with Torque Plates Resized rods for ARP bolts. Grind and polish crank. Balance rotating assembly Degree Camshaft CC and compute compression ratio (9.28:1) Check out cylinder heads for warp and crack. Burtonsville Machine,In addition the Exhaust ports were enlarged to increase flow. It got an Edelbrock intake and once I get a carb will get to work. I will be backing it up with A C-6 from a Fullsize bronco and An Electric transfer case(for convienence). I hope to keep this updated but here are the first set of pics.

Well I Trashed the C6 for a AOD and got some cleanup work done.

I have found a hole in my floor board due to coolant...wierd not cause of the coolant but because it was on my drivers side. I ripped the soggy carpet out and began cleanup for some herculiner.

I also went to take pics of my friends Jeep so he could start a site

I also drove on some rocks

Thats all I got till next paycheck for I need an oil relocation bracket, a Alternator bracket, and an PS bracket before I can begin. OH and headers... I don't think the stock ones will do.

Well I went to fix my seatbelt the other day noticed my carpet on the drivers side was wet so I pulled it and it was dripping both a combination of coolant and water heavily... saw a crack in the floor board so I wen to see the damage and that is when I descover the P.O.S. P.I.T.A. tar covers...I know why they are there but it is like ford really didn't want you to get to the actual floor board well after about a total of like 5 hours of wood chisel and hamer I removed all the tar covers on both passenger and drivers side and here is what I found...

Its hard to make out but this is the hole or crack or whatever you want to call it that everything was dripping out of.

well any suggestions on the best methods to deal with this...I do not have a welder and I was just going to pop rivet some tin and clean the best I can then cover with herculiner or other similar product...Andrew

Well I have found more Rust
