As promised, I'm working on a Cobra IRS swap into the 66. If you've been following my build you know I do my own work. As ugly as it looks, it serves its function on a budget. I have loads of time and not so much money.
Below is my version of a Cobra IRS diff torque brace. The diff cover on the IRS is one of the weakest points and often break under load. Although it is probably overkill I ran the brace all the way around the cover as oposed to the half brace. The mount bolted to the left side of the cover comes with an aluminum bushing with impregnated rubber dampening bushing (not shown). Aftermarket pgrade for this is a solid aluminum mount that completely replaces the steel mount frame. I plan to find something like a par if auminum leaf spring bushings and press them into the hole in the mont frame creating a solidmound.
Like I said, it's ugly but it will work.
On the side I'm working on puting Cobra Calipers and 13" rotors on Granada spindles. Stay tuned, this might get interesing.
