Sept. 21, 2006 I know it's been a while. I was so busy making money, after work I am just too tired and uninspired to work on my car. Well to keep you updated on whats going on, I sent all of my engine parts to a shop in California called QC Autosports where a great guy named Perry Cuesta will be doing the engine refresh and headworks. Perry is an epitomy of an old school engine builder, his expertise is head porting and polish and weber tuning. He'll be doing a blue printed TRD Stage 2/3 spec on my K engine (I mentioned Stage 2 because I want to maintain my car's street drivability, powerband will go from low to mid high). If you want to have your engine built by Perry you can get in touch with him at 818-216-9475. He can do a budgeted refresh to a blueprinted balanced race engine for you. Give him a call I highly recommend him.
THE ENGINE BUILD
A month ago I already sent my engine components to Perry, I never sent my engine though because it will be too damn expensive to send the engine and back, it's more plausible to just buy one there. I'm glad Perry has a spare engine to work with. Here are some of the components sent. Just to let you know that how hard to make this engine to what it will be is the aftermarket parts acquisition
TRD Stage 3 Piston kit with extra pins part # 13101-KP602
TRD Stage 2 Valve set part # 13711-KE052 INT; 13715-KE-052 EXH
AND OEM Bronze guides
TRD lightened flywheel part # 13451-KP611
TRD Manifold Stay part # 17111-KP601
TRD Camshaft timing gear part # 13523-KE002
I forgot to take a photo of the camshaft
