Thanks for looking. This is Combined EFX's new show car. A Subaru 2.5 RS Coupe, 5 speed. I just bought this car on December 17, 2005. Used of course with 86,000+ miles on the meter. Just slightly less than my SL2 that I wrecked. This is a great replacement vehicle. It's a nice blue pearl. These are pretty rare in my town. I did a search for the 2.5RS within 50 miles of me and came up with 5 only. Three of which were automatics. All new photos will be at the top.

For anyone who is interested this is the old faithful ride that I wrecked. She will be missed: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/498201

Had a BBQ and a car club meeting. We rolled through Alki and Northgate with 12 deep. Here's a horrible pic of the meet:

My cousins came into town and the coerced me to driving down to Mt Rainier. A very long drive from Seattle, but I got the chance to take some awesome photos... with the car of course. On the plus side I finally got to carve up Mt Rainier and drive the way this car was meant to be driven. A couple cars tried to stay with me on curves, but their attempts were futile:)

Newly washed, here's some pics without the ugly license plates on. Hey look the Magnaflow is shiny again!

Only had time to get the steering wheel replaced. Took about 30 minutes to complete. The most important part was to get the wheel to line up with the rest of the car. The pics are of the wheel and the hub adater. The new wheel has a smaller radius so turning is a bit faster and easier. But the material itself is hard and probably uncomfortable to be gripping on for long periods of time. But I definitely like this better. For anyone who noticed I have no cruise control anymore. Don't worry I'll be rerouting that to a different area of the dash. Next will be the rear spats. The part was allegedly JDM so it doesn't quite fit the USA/Canadian RS's. So slight modifications are to be made for the best fit. Keep checking back, we'll try getting the spats on next weekend. Oh, and that red car in the driveway is the other family car, a 1999 Toyota Camry, bone stock. Luxury comfort for under $30k. It only has 15k miles on it so far.

I got my 3 point harnesses installed correctly now. I removed the rear seat and wrapped them around the brace bar. This shortened the belts to a manageable length and also looks cleaner. Probably safer also. Also a profile of the entire car showing off the calipers. Sorry didn't wash the car yet, it might rain if I did that:) I just ordered some rear spats yesterday, can't wait til they get here.

Finally got the calipers painted. The calipers were sprayed with cleaner and then scrubbed with a toothbrush to remove debris. Then 3 coats of red was applied over the course of 4 hours. I had no jack stands so I had to do one side at a time. Some images of the front and rear brakes and a couple with the wheel back on. As soon as I get the car washed I'll get some more quality pics up. I just received my Momo steering wheel hub adapter. So guess whats going on next:)

Here is a side by side comparison of the drop in height from the front to the rear.

Finally got my car cleaned up and dropped. It was an ok day in Seattle, thought I'd head out to Magnuson Park to shoot these pics. Those rear springs being the most pain in the ass. Had to remove the rear seats again and work around the strut bar. The other problem was that the brake lines had to be taken out to remove the struts so I bled my brakes and placed in new fluid. Hope I don't have to replace my struts anytime soon. The ride quality has gone down a bit but still better than my SL2.

Sorry for the bad pics yesterday. Here are some clearer shots of the fog lamp covers. Hopefully when the weather gets better I'll wash the car and take some serious photos with a real camera. But I know Seattle whenever someone washes their car it rains the next day....
(02/05/2006)

Alright finally got the covers mounted. They took a bit of creative thinking.

Sorry for the bad pics from yesterday. This was taken with my Sidekick. It came out a bit better, you can clearly make out the "i" emblem now. Well I picked up my fog lamp covers today. Just awesome. I'll try and get them installed on Saturday.
(02/02/2006)

Just got this last night when I got home. The front end sure looks nicer with the JDM "i" badge. While I was writing this I got a call from the shop that my fog lamp covers have been painted. I'll pic them up tomorrow and hopefully get them install this weekend. More pics to come.

Finally got here, these are the new Rota Grids silver with a polished lip. Thought I'd better take a pic before I ruin them, since this is my daily driver. These wheels are lighter than my Konigs before. Now waiting for the springs to get here....
(01/16/2006)

Ok a small update. Finally got the damn rear strut on, what a bitch. The front strut bar was really easy of course, but the back.... gotta take this out and take that out. I'm glad it's done. I also took a pic of the painted vent covers. I sprayed them in a flat black.
(01/15/2006)

Here is the pics of the new front strut tower brace. The rear strut will be installed soon. I also ordered my new wheels tonight. Rota Grids, silver with a polished lip. Can't wait til they get here.

Here's a great reason to own this ride, the hood scoop and the vents are just mean looking. Here's a clearer pic of the Magnaflow exhaust.

Ok I just installed this today. For under 20$ you can head off to the Home Depot or similar to buy the abs pipes and fittings. I used the Cobb CAI as a model for building this system. I'll be testing this out for the next few days to see how it works. The pipe goes straight into the fender well. I retained the stock airbox with a brand new Fram filter. The last pic is the Max 3 point grounding system.

Finally it stopped raining after 3 solid weeks. I went out to the park and took these photos. The cars a bit dirty from the rain. Damn those wheels look uglier and uglier everytime I look at them. Oh well gotta put up with them until my new wheels are ordered. I also got my old MD and DVD player back into the car from my wrecked SL2. When the weather gets better I'll get her waxed up for another photoshoot.

Ok new minor mod before the New Year. I just got this off Ebay. It's the Momo shift knob that threads on like stock. This feels more comfortable to hold onto and looks way better than the stock knob. One minor complaint, this is very cold in the morning and I'm going to assume very hot if left in the summer. Oh well small price to pay for something that looks this good. Keep checking mods should be moving very fast on this ride. I need to get this ready for shows this coming summer. I'm already looking for lightweight wheels and lowering springs as I write this. Next will be the strut tower brace from STI, fog lamp covers, etc...

Here's a pic of the new Magnaflow muffler. The RS now sounds off with a deep rumble at low revs. It's super loud sounding much like a straight through. I love it but my neighbors probably hate me now. Like I say: Part of the rides fun factor is the noise that it makes. I hope I don't get pulled over for a loud muffler. When I get a chance I'm gonna make a video or a sound clip of the muffler.
(12/20/2005)

Here are some pics of the club logo, the hoodscoop with the filter visible and the interior including the RS logo floor mats. I hope to have a better sounding exhaust soon. I'm also looking for a Momo shifter for this ride that would thread on like stock. Also picking out some wheels as well. I've got a list of stuff that was stripped out of the SL2 that will go into this. Still needs a better alarm, dvd player and the lip kit. If anyone knows where the best place to go for the kit let me know in my guestbook. Thanks for looking.
(12/19/2005)

Here's some more pics. Side profile and the engine bay. I ripped out the stock airbox and fitted the filter directly on. All the vent covers have been removed. Not pictured is the 3 point grounding kit that was moved over from the wrecked SL2. Those rims are gonna have to go.
(12/18/2005)

Here are some pics of the new (used) ride. This had 1 previous owner. I love this car. I've been wanting one of these ever since I saw one of my friends Rally Blue 2.5 RS. Pretty rare find if you ask me. I will have more photos in the next few days. Havn't done too much yet since I've only had it for a day. But we managed to rip out the stock airbox already and place an optima battery into it so far. I also removed the covers to the vents and hoodscoop. I think the color is called Blue Pearl. Correct me if I'm wrong. Next is to get the club logo on the rear window, possibly a different shift knob, definitely some better looking rims and a lip kit.
