Yeaaa I have this nice 1997 Toyota 4runner SR5 4x4 that has about 110,000 miles on it already. As you can see i recently removed the siderails along with the plastic stock mud flaps.... only reason why i did this is because it makes it look better or in my case makes it look more like an off road vehicle.
I am trying to get between 2.5 and 5 inches of lift on it... or atleast enough to get some bigger tires somewhere around 33 inches. I was thinking something like the toyo open country mud terrains or the BFG mud terrains.... Basically i am just tryin to get this thing lookin like a badass suv that is excellent off road. It already can out- dig half of my friends trucks but i want it to do even better in the mud and off road.
Only problem is that my dad is totally against the idea.... He doesnt mind the tire idea but he wants to put tires on before the lift and doesnt think that the lift will do anything at all besides make it easier to flip on the highway.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY EXPERIENCE WITH LIFTED 4RUNNERS OR ADVICE ON TIRE TYPES, TIRE SIZES, LIFT KITS, HIGHWAY AND OFFROAD CAPABILITIES, AND ANYTHING THAT WOULD HAVE TO DO WITH MY 4RUNNER PLEASE LET ME KNOW..... Just ridin around off road before gettin her a lil dirty
