~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Abel's YJ Project: From stock to Rock Biter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I bought this '92 YJ in October '04. It was completely stock and I was determined to change that.
Over the last year and a half, I've managed to make several changes--some bigger than others. From chrome hood latches to a 6" lift, and a few things in between, this little YJ has definitely grown up. Sure, there's still a lot more that it needs ( actually, more like, "I want" ) but what a long way it has come. I'm pretty happy with the results that I have achieved so far, and have received many compliments.
I will continue to update these pages as my YJ transforms. If you are interested in seeing what becomes of my project, sign my guestbook and I'll notify you as the updates occur.
Thanks for checking out my page. Feel free to leave any comments, questions and/or suggestions about my Jeep and the progress that it has made.
You can buy the lights at harbor freight for $13.90 a piece. You will have to cut the sheet metal of your jeep to install them, then they just pop in (they are super popular down here.) You will have to add a heavy duty flasher to get them to blink. They are bright though!!!
Hey, nice Jeep. You did real good work. If you want my advice, don't gear it down that much. I have 33s and 4.11s and it's just about perfect. It still runs 2250 rpms on the highway (65-70 mph), so 4.56s will be pretty bad. If you don't do any highway driving, though, go for it. Check out my Jeep sometime, and sign the guestbook.
