I bought this car for $500, just for the hell of it. I tend to do that sometimes. When I test drove it, the carburetor caught on fire. It also barely moved. Me and a buddy put some cheap shorty headers on it, I changed the spark plugs and fiddled with the carb, and all of a sudden it felt kinda fast.
I drove this heap from South Cakalacky all the way to Biloxi, Mississippi, where I met Hurricane Katrina and she blew out the rear and a side window and I ruined the paint as well. After I was let out of the hurricane shelter I decided to go for it, and drive this gas hog with 1/2 tank of gas all the way back to SC. Keep in mind that after the hurricane hit there were no open gas stations for about 70 miles, and the ones that were open had 1hr lines and prices at least $3/gallon. I think overall I was very lucky to have made it without breaking down and getting carjacked. Overall it was a bad decision, but the car made it.

Now it's just sitting in my garage. I think I'm going to sell it, or put the least amount of money possible into it to get it ready for RALLYCROSS!
I just finished spraying primer and plan on painting it flat black... I figure why not, its ugly anyway.

The 4bbl Q-jet doesn't have a choke for some reason, so I have it running really rich just so it will start.
The trans pan is bent and leaks, coolant is leaking out of the head gasket, the rear springs sag and the driveshaft is too long. Other than that it runs fine. I raced my buddy's Focus SVT, after he got me off the line, I managed to stay on his bumper until about 95mph. The car promply overheated after that, and I think that's when the head gaskey started leaking.

If I had 10,000 dollars, I figuerd out roughly what I would do with it, but that is not likely to happen unless I win the lottery.
