2004 Corvette convertible-Arctic White with Torch Red leather, black convertible top. It is a 6 speed with head-up display, 12-disc changer, dual-zone climate control, power everything, F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, Borla Quad Round Stinger exhaust, Hurst Billet Plus shifter & 3.42 axle. It has been lowered 2" since some of these pics were taken. I ordered this car new in the summer of 2003 and took delivery in November 2003. As of this date (01/05/08), it has 6716 miles.
My lovely wife, Tracy, in front of the Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach, SC. She has her own car, a red '65 Mustang coupe on this site. Please look at it and vote for it under her username red65mustang. Thank you!
This is Tracy saying, "follow me as I go down for more pics!"
Yeah, it's me. I don't really like having my picture taken but Tracy talked me into it.
The Corvette in the garage beside one of our other cars, the Deuce, a steel '32 Ford Street Rod.
I painted the calipers myself with a small brush! That took a long time. I bought and installed the powder-coated aluminum rotor hat covers for that extra bit of color.
Notice I ordered this Corvette without those unsightly body side moldings. They ruin the smooth, flowing lines of the side of the car.
This interior is so comfortable and sporty at the same time. Factory Delco-Bose radio with single CD in front and a 12-disc changer with remote control in the rear.
My lovely wife giving the car the once-over inspection.
Just cranked up and ready to go cruising with the top down, naturally.
After lowering 2". Looks better and handles better.
If you don't think this thing is low, check this pic out! It's just a hairdo over 2".
Compare the fender opening in this pic to the ones above before lowering. On 06/30/2006, I changed the factory polished wheels to chrome. They're easier to maintain and look much better in my opinion.
Laser-cut polished stainless steel cowl cover.
Chrome hood shocks and battery cover.
Check out that 200 MPH speedometer.
I love that Arctic White on Torch Red.
The Borla Quad Round Stingers stainless steel cat-back system. Man, do they sound good! Notice the stainless exhaust enhancer plate between the pipes and the personalized license plate.
On January 5, 2006 the UPS man delivered some custom-painted fuel rail covers to our house. On January 7, I started installing them. This pic is of the right side completed. It's the easy side!
This is the left side with the original fuel rail cover removed. Boy, it's a good thing they put these on because it is UGLY under there.
With my mess out of the way, I can stand back and look at the completed project.
These fuel rail covers were wet-sanded and buffed and polished to a mirror-like finish.
These colors are just perfect for this car. I was so pleased with the outcome and it was very easy to do.
It's easy to see why the C5 Corvette has such good aerodynamics and downforce. Check out that wedge shape and that tall rear end.
Chrome fill caps installed.
Now, that's more like it.
Awesome reflection of the flames.
