Time flies. It's already the end of summer 2006 and we have not driven "Jimbo" this year. I have not been able to get the car insured since we moved to Fort McMurray. No one knows what to value the car at. I will keep trying. That is my mint '84 Dodge D-150 pick-up in the back ground. If you get a chance check out my car domain page for "Stinky Pete" http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2407849.
As the car sits it has no brakes. The shop that I took the Colt to for a mechanical inspection last fall, damaged the right rear wheel cylinder. It's the first time in my life I ever had to have a car towed from a service garage.
Well, after months of searching for NOS parts, I get to do the brakes. In no time the wheel cylinder was re/re'd and the brakes bled. I had a chance to have a good look under "Jimbo".
The underside is in very good shape after all of these years. The exhaust system is original.
I haven't seen anyone shoot the underside of their stock vehicle like this. I have driven the car in the rain and on gravel roads. I've always intended to drive this car, so I have left the underside be. "Jimbo" will never be a super clean trailer queen.
