It warmed up to -20c, so we took our '73 Colt out of the garage for some fun in the snow. My son nicknamed our car "Jimbo" when we purchased the car four years ago. The name stuck, and we enjoy driving the car in summer. Most people do not know what kind of car it is, or are too young to have seen one.
While living in Fort Nelson BC, my son and I, would take part in the Canada Day Parade. There was always a great turn-out of vintage cars and trucks. If you ever find yourself driving up the Alaska Highway, be sure to stop in Fort Nelson BC (Mile 300).
The never ending search for parts. This is a 1973 Plymouth Cricket. 70's badge engineering at it's best. I found this car along with a four-door rusting away on a farm. The only thing that was holding this car together was dirt. Look closely, that is about 2" of moss growing on the home made roof rack. Yes, the farmer kept the roof rack when we hauled the cars away. There were at least 40 old cars and trucks sitting in the trees. Check out the hood pins! You never know when you might hit 50mph in one of these babies!!
Well, at least the tree wasn't growing through the car!
